Pat Riley, Scientist & CEO
Pat Riley is a Scientist and Founder of Clientele Beauty and MDR Fitness Corp. Millions of men and women have benefited from her formulations, which have been proven by the test of time with a loyal clientele that look and feel years younger than their age. Celebrities, physicians, and researchers around the world seek her skin care and nutrition expertise and cutting edge anti-aging formulations. She has been given many honors including Rising Star of QVC, Outstanding Business Leader and recipient of an Honorary Doctorate from Northwood University.
After studying Chemistry, Food Science & Nutrition at the University of Florida, Pat Riley graduated Phi Kappa Phi in 1976. She spent decades researching and developing skin care and nutritional formulations and was awarded a Doctor of Laws (Honoris Causa) from Northwood University in 2010.
Pat said, "I always believed that good health is our greatest gift, because without it, you can do nothing! I grew up in South Florida, where many retirees come to enjoy their golden years. Seeing so many of them suffer with the problems that come with aging, at a young age, I vowed to God to develop products to help people stay healthy and youthful as long as possible. In the 1970's, Pat's grandfather was diagnosed with a deadly skin cancer which led her to seek the guidance of Dr. Victor Witten, a Dermatologist who was renowned in the field. After Dr. Victor Witten's medical treatments healed her grandfather, she began to work with the Dr. Witten, creating new concepts in skin care and introduced the first oil-free moisturizer to the world in Neiman Marcus, followed by the first antioxidant based anti-aging treatments.
Dr. Witten and Pat created the first cruelty free skin care line with the concept that "use" testing on patients created more accurate results than harsh unnecessary animal testing. She is an active supporter of many animal welfare organizations and a lover of animals.
Pat led the way with her nutrition background with the realization that in order to keep women healthy, their nutritional deficiencies had to be corrected. Pat began working with George Christakis, M.D., Chief of University of Miami School of Public Health, and past Chief of Mt. Sinai School of Medicine. Together they created the Clientele Daily Nutrients Formula to keep women healthy, years before others recognized that "Beauty Begins from Within", utilizing antioxidants and other nutrients to fight the aging process "inside and out!"
Pat analyzed vitamin formulas on the market, finding them to be sadly deficient, and created, "MDR", introducing patented formulations for good health created by the foremost medical minds in the fields of Medicine.
Pat and her Team have led the industry with many "firsts" which years later, became industry standards including:
1979 ** First oil-free moisturizer
